As a brand company, AIPTEK has always specialized in research and development of portable products. Since launching the world’s first type of pocket projector in 2008, AIPTEK has consistently been a leader in mini-projector products. This year the company won a prize at the COMPUTEX d&i awards with the world’s first quarto-core Android projector tablet computer, the ProjectorPad P70, and this projector product is writing a new page.

The ProjectorPad P70 is the world’s first type of quarto-core Android projector tablet computer with an internal mini-projector. It integrates projection and tablet computer functions, and it can project 72-inch large images from its small body and enable users to share high-quality digital contents with their friends that satisfy application requairements for personal business, entertainment, and even educational projects.

In terms of hardware specifications, the ProjectorPad P70 uses a 7-inch 1044x600 resolution IPS screen and is equipped with a MediaTek1.3GHz quarto-core processor with 1GB RAM, and 16GB of memory storage.

“In the future projectors will be everywhere,” AIPTEK CEO Frank Sheu said confidently.

Frank believes that in the future possibly all electronic devices will be integrated with projection technology, and as mini-projector technology becomes increasingly matured, there will be room for using projection technology in devices such as watches, mobile phones, and even home electronics equipment. He also believes that projection technology is a very suitable display technology for sharing with others. All you need is a white wall, and you can share multimedia content or business briefings with others.

Although it is has many advantages, compared to the currently mainstream LED, projector technology has its own limitations, for example it requires low-light environments. Frank pointed out that most people do not actually understand the advantages of mini-projector technology. In addition it is not easy to give demonstrations of this type of technology. A relatively dim room is required in order to completely show its strong points.

"When we go to participate in exhibitions, almost every customer at the exhibition will buy one. In Birmingham, we earned 40,000 euros of revenue in four days," said Frank. This shows that micro-projector applications have a strong ability to catch on at exhibitions.

Frank proudly said AIPTEK’s ProjectorPad computers are an innovation of mobile technology, and it is an innovative technology that emphasizes “sharing” of information, knowledge, and joy. Notebooks, smartphones, and tablets are all electronics products for personal use. It is very difficult to use them to share their contents with friends or classmates. Our original design concept was finding ways to make small portable devices that would allow contemporary people to be able to both work on the Internet, play games, and socialize and also be able to share content with other people in their vicinity at any time.

Sharing is definitely a powerful joyful force for people, and it is a key driver to spur mobile projection devices to become commonplace. However, currently mobile projection is still in a niche market, but AIPTEK is very optimistic about the future and believes that mobile projection has extremely strong potential for development.

Frank stated that mobile projection will not replace traditional flat surface projection, and it will be exclusively used to provide consumers with the experience of sharing mobile content. It is almost entirely in a class of its own. He gave China Airlines’ duty-free in-flight product as an example. One of the company’s portable projection machines has consistently sold for three years, and the shipments have been extremely stable. It is obvious that a steady market exists for mobile projectors.

“We also realize that we must keep pace with the times in terms of both technological improvements and users’ demands. There is still of course a lot of room for further improvement of the P70. We expect users to express their user experience at any time, and we will even change our formula in order to allow our next model’s design to be able to provide users with an even more ideal experience,” said Frank.

Regarding the next step for mobile projection, Frank stated that AIPTEK is continually developing products that integrate innovative technologies with humanized designs. This company is developing a new mini-projector and expects to develop a new type of machine that can provide users with even more convenience and fun.

He emphasized that since AIPTEK was founded in 1997, customer’s requirements and dreams have been the company’s most important priorities, and we have been dedicated from the beginning to strengthening our core competitiveness in digital image technology. In addition, it is a sales channel that is expanding globally.

“Understanding demands, solving customers’ problems, and making people’s lifestyles more pleasant are the goals that we always strive for, and we expect that this time the P70 can achieve these capabilities,” said Frank.
