Chromebook Lighting Up a Growing Momentum in Intel

As the begging of cooperation between Google and Intel, Wintel camp, formed by Microsoft and Intel, is getting unstable. Google and Intel unveiled yesterday various Chrome products such as Chromebook with Core i3 processor which will be launched by some PC manufacturers, namely Dell、Acer、Lenovo、HP、Toshiba、LG、Asus etc.

Besides, Google will expand the cooperation with Intel to release a serious product equipped with the Bay Trail, despite the computing power is lower than Core i3, but have an 11 hours of battery life. And Asus and Acer is expected to produce the same product.
Intel declared that Chromebook could be popular with consumer and enterprise as more new OEMs joining to Chromebook in the future.
NavinShenoy, Intel vice president and general manager of mobile computing, said that last year only 4 Chromebook with Intel processor, however, it will soar to 20 types of Chrome products this year including Chrombook and Chromebox PC. According to IDC, the volume of Chromebook sales was 2.5 million last year and it will increase by 68% in 2014.
Currently, Intel is the not only largest but only processor supplier of 64-bit Chrome OS, and Chromebook will enjoy high reputation by using Intel’s processor chip.
