OPPO Rolls out the World First 5.5-inch 2K Smartphone in Taiwan

TAIPEI, Taiwan — OPPO, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has finally landed its flagship Find 7, the world first 5.5-inch 2K smartphone here in Taiwan. As Taiwan has entered the 4G era, users would have more chances to share videos so that a 2K display smartphone is one of a kind for 4G users.

Louis Lee, Product Manager of OPPO, said that the design concept of Find 7 has come from the nature, especially its bottom curve LED notification strip reminds user of starry night.

Louis is proudly presented Find 7, a 5.5-inch display with a 2,560x1,440-pixel resolution and 538 ppi. “The Sony IMX214 13-megapixel camera is fast and has enhancements such as Super Zoom, which lets you take a 50-megapixel picture. Other features include VOOC fast charging — the phone is able to juice up the 3,000mAh battery from 0 to 75 percent in 30 minutes.”

The Find 7 has a 8974AC 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, as well as 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On the other hand the Find 7a, while still an impressive phone, has a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processors, Full HD display resolution of 1,920 x 1,080, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Both models have expandable storage via microSD to 128GB.

Find 7 is also designed for music lovers, which features MaxxAudio, offering better sound quality.

However, the plastic builds for the most part of Find 7, not necessarily comparing poorly than those flagship that with metal, which gives a new idea for the design of flagship.

The price tag of Find 7 itself is NT$16,690, while Find 7a is NT$14,390.
