EDGE Memory, a U.S.-based supplier of memory and storage upgrades, announced today the release of their EDGE Revolution 7mm Solid State Drive (SSD). This is the first of several Made in the USA Brand certified SSDs that EDGE plans to release in 2014 as part of an initiative to support U.S. made products. The EDGE Revolution SSD is made in the U.S.A. and TAA compliant, making it one of the first of its kind in the market today.

"We are proud to support U.S. jobs by designing and manufacturing in our factory near Austin, Texas. While a vast majority of the competition has moved their manufacturing offshore, we have been manufacturing in the US for 27 years and counting", says Ray Agrella, VP of Sales.

EDGE Revolution SSDs are a first-class storage upgrade for notebooks and desktops as well as workstations and servers. Driven by a premium SandForce controller, the Revolution SSD achieves ultra-fast read and write speeds. Performance gains associated with system start up, data access, application loading, and backups are immediately realized upon installation.

Utilizing high-performance Synchronous NAND flash, Revolution SSDs do not contain moving parts, making them a more durable storage solution than a spinning disk HDD. Additionally, Revolution SSDs consume less power per transaction than HDDs, resulting in a desirable blend of performance and efficiency.

EDGE Revolution SSDs come standard with 256-bit AES hardware encryption and a full suite of performance and stability enhancing features such as TRIM, ECC, DuraWrite, RAISE, and more.
