The new registration website created by Acer will allow registrants to navigate seamlessly, find all the information and links they need before completing their registration, in addition to post event activities for an advanced and user-centric marathon event experience.

Acer is a main sponsor of the marathon and has created the registration website, www.absportsfun.com, built on Acer’s BYOC technology, which will also offer marathon news updates, a message bulletin, a chatroom and social media sharing. The registration website will be integrated with the official event website.

“Sports can be associated with the energetic values that Acer shares: passion, vigor, speed, accuracy, agility, endurance, and teamwork,” said Stan Shih, founder and honorary chairman of Acer.

“We are pleased to expand our BYOC solutions to a popular sporting event that is also Taiwan’s first internationally accredited marathon. We will provide services for athletes to find and share the information they need to make the whole event a more personal and rewarding experience.”

The 2015 New Taipei City Wan Jin Shi Marathon, certified with the IAAF’s Road Race Bronze label, will take place on March 22 along the scenic north coast of Taiwan. Registration for the event will open on November 14 at 12 pm (Taipei time) with three courses: the 42.195 km Marathon, the 14 km Challenge Run, and the 7 km Fun Run allowing the maximum of 5,000, 4,000 and 3,000 runners respectively.
