TAIPEI, Taiwan — Jack Ma, Founder of Alibaba Group, stated that robots play an indispensable role in our life in 30 years from now, and the industry will grow in numbers from now.

Jack Ma attended SoftBank’s latest humanoid robot Pepper press conference in Japan on June 18.

Jack Ma pointed out that people discuss robots in these years, he who was invited to SoftBank’s humanoid robots Pepper press conference last year. However, Pepper has been fast-growing, “I’m excited about it.”

Jack Ma said that whether we like it or not, robots will be well received like automobile. On the other hand, it will be like other mechanicals or aerial crafts, “Robots will become part of our family.” He also suggested that robots will be smarter than human beings in the information revolution era.

Meanwhile, Jack Ma expressed people will feel tired, as long as robots are being recharged it won’t feel tired. Moreover, robots will have more powerful computing ability. What’s more, heart will be the biggest difference between robots and human beings.

In addition, SoftBank’s Pepper will have the heart inside, which will be a big challenge, it might be the evolution of a fourth generation.

Last but not the least, Japanese mobile carrier SoftBank is teaming up with Apple manufacturer Foxconn Technology Group and Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group in a global push to manufacture and sell robots for the home and workplace.
