The reports pointed that most global TV orders are controlled by Foxconn, Compal Electronics, and Wistron. Foxconn owns a big part of Sony’s TV assembly, Compal Electronics takes charged of Toshiba, and Wistron holds Vizion and Xiaomi.

At present, Compal Electronics and Wistron have no plants in India, so their consumer’s products are exported overseas, thus the products are more expensive and have lower market share in India.

However, under the circumstances that Indian government strongly implements “Make in India” policy and Foxconn has been the first mover with Sony to enter into Indian market to setup TVassembly business, Compal Electronics and Wistron will definitely face the stronger pressure to serious consider about having assembly plant in India.

Both Compal Electronics and Wistron has no comments for the news but state that they will strive to satisfy all consumer’s needs and do not eliminate the possibilities to establish Indian plant .
