HTC and Asus join the ranks of Google Daydream

Daydream will officially launch this fall, according to Google. Daydream-ready smartphone, capacble for VR experience, will adopt the next-generation operation system Android N. A initial eight smartphone makers have be selected to work on new smartphone. In addition, MediaTek and Qualcomm, Taiwan and China ‘s chip factory respectively, are also in the list of partners.
According to Economic Daily News , “Google used to test htc Vive and one more platform is good news to develop VR market” said by Baoyong Zhe, HTC deputy general manager of the new virtual reality technology sector.
"We are not the VR hardware manufacturer. We have our own content team, hoping to cultivate internally and externally." Baoyong Zhe interviewed recently by Taiwan’s media and stressed that , HTC is aim to establish Vive ecosystem, including hardware, platforms, content and related application.
Asus, one of the "Daydream" platform partner, gave notice before that mobile-related VR products was scheduled to launch in Q4 of this year.
