Smartphone Takes Up Nearly 40% of the Global DRAM Market in 2H 2016

According to Taipei-based IT research institute MIC (Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute). Worldwide smartphone shipments hit 1.43 billion units for the full year of 2015 and are expected to have reached 1.5 billion units in 2016. Therefore, in the second half of 2016, 39.6% of the global DRAM products were used in smartphones, compared to 34.6% in the first half of 2015.
