Huawei, Inspur, and Lenovo Account for 70% of the Server Market in China, Says MIC
Published: Apr 15,2017In the fourth quarter of 2016, shipment volume of the Taiwanese server system shipped at the full system/barebones levels totaled about 1.001 million units, representing a 9.1% sequential growth. Meanwhile, those shipped at the board level reached about 1.245 million units, up 4.2% sequentially and 14.0 year-on-year, according to Taipei-based IT research institute MIC (Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute).

"The global server market is currently led by growth momentum in the Chinese market as the market is the world's second largest market only next to North America," says Pei-fen Hsieh, industry analyst with MIC.
“In China, the market is dominated by homegrown brands Huawei, Inspur, and Lenovo that account for about 70% of the server supply in China and therefore their impact will continue to be a major concern for Taiwanese counterparts.”
