TAICS and TTA Sign Collaborating MoU on 5G and IoT Standards Establishing

TAIPEI, Taiwan – Taiwan Association of Information and Communication Standards (TAICS) yesterday held the “TAICS Annual Standards Forum” and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA). The two sides will work together to establish a cooperation framework of the standards of 5G, information security and IoT.

TTA was established in 1988 and has developed more than 15,000 standards. TTA also provides testing and certification services with more than 30 international certified test laboratories (oneM2M, ITU-T, AirFuel, WPC, ATSC ...).

In addition to working with TTA in standards developing, TAICS will reference the model of test, certification and operation of TTA. Its goal is to establish a standard testing and certification system with domestic testing laboratories within one year, to shorten the time of acquiring international certification for Taiwan ICT industry.
