Keysight’s HDMI 2.1 test solution, approved by the HDMI Forum, consists of the company’s Infiniium Oscilloscope, the M8195A Arbitrary Waveform Generator and Vector Network Analyzer, providing high reliability, as well as efficient and reproduceable test results.

"We have already realized the positive impact delivered by Keysight's solution including improved efficiency in several HDMI tests which ultimately contributed to a large overall test time reduction," said Hideaki Nakayama, president of Allion Japan, Inc. "Keysight's rapid adaption to HDMI 2.1 electrical tests' newest technical requirements, enables us to provide the latest test solutions to our customers faster than ever before.”

In November 2017, the HDMI Forum released the newest HDMI standard version 2.1 supporting 8K/10K video transmission and up to 48Gbps bandwidth, which delivers high resolution, fast refresh rate video data transfer, along with an Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC). Keysight’s HDMI 2.1 test solution covers all electric characteristic tests of eARC in the compliance test specification released in August 2018.

“As an active member of the HDMI Forum since its inception, Keysight contributed to the development of the HDMI standard and test specifications,” said Jun Chie, vice president and general manager of Keysight's Asia Pacific Sales organization. “By adding Keysight’s solution, Allion's standard certification testing environment will help validate performance and debug solutions under development with confidence, allowing their customers to introduce high quality products to the market efficiently.”

Allion provides the Authorized Test Center (ATC) test service of HDMI 2.1/1.4b as an ATC of Sony Corporation (Gotanda Lab). Along with HDMI, Allion certifies, IMAX Enhanced, Display Port, UHDA, HDR10+ audio and visual related standards, and provides professional engineering services.
