The NuMaker-IoT-M263A board is based on the main microcontroller NuMicro M263KIAAE, empowered by Arm Cortex-M23 CPU core of Armv8-M architecture. The board integrates several wireless communication modules, including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and LoRa modules. A mini-PCIe interface can support extra 2G/3G/4G-LTE/NB-IoT modules with GPS function. The board also equips the environmental sensor and 9-axis sensor for acceleration, gyro-magnetics, gas, barometric pressure, temperature, and humidity sensing. Furthermore, the panel includes CAN and RS485 transceiver for automotive or industrial applications.
The M263KIAAE belongs to the NuMicro M261/M262/M263 series, which adopts advanced low power and security technology with a high-performance communication connectivity interface. The series implements a secure boot function and hardware crypto acceleration to achieve the security of IoT devices. The normal run's power consumption is 97 uA/Mhz (LDO mode) and 45 uA/Mhz (DC/DC mode). Stand-by power-down current is down to 2.8 uA, and Deep power-down current is less than 2uA.
The series is also equipped with plenty of peripherals covering Timers, PWM, UART, Qual SPI (QSPI), SPI/ I2S, I2C, Smart Card Interface (ISO 7816-3), SDHC 2.0, USB 2.0 Full-Speed OTG, and CAN 2.0B. There are also several high-performance analog front-end blocks and high-performance analog front-end blocks, such as two 1 MSPS voltage type DAC, two rail-to-rail analog comparator (ACMP), temperature sensor, low voltage reset (LVR), and brown-out detector (BOD) to enhance product performance and reduce both external components.
Finally, the complete set of software packages, including tools, sample codes, user manuals to run useful RTOS like Amazon RTOS, Arm Mbed, AliOS Things, etc., connecting to famous cloud services ease the proto-type product design. Crypto accelerators make data communication more efficient and secure. The dual-bank architecture of embedded Flash memory is suitable for remote FOTA (Firmware Over-The-Air) updates to ensure the application system is secure and safe. The on-board Nu-Link2-Me is a debugger and programmer that supports on-line programming and debugging through the SWD interface.
