Taiwan Wins Twelve 2022 R&D 100 Awards, Ranks First in Asia

TAIPEI, Taiwan - Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs(MOEA) held the “2022 R&D 100 Awards press conference” at October 5th at National Taiwan University Hospital International Conference Center. In total, Taiwan acquired twelve awards this year, ranked second in the world and first in Asia.

Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs Lin Qun-neng said these research results are supported by MOEA’s technology project not only winning international awards, but also the core motivation to boost industry transformation. Technology projects have already obtained seventy-five R&D 100 awards in total in fifteen years in a row, ninety percent of which transferred to commercial companies and cultivated many startups. It truly solves industrial problems using innovative technologies to bring benefit and value to the industry.
