TI expanded its sensing portfolio with the addition of Hall effect sensors designed for use in diverse industrial applications ranging from position detection to motor control. This sensor family for brushless DC (BLDC) motor applications, the DRV50xx, includes digital latch, digital switch and analog bipolar output types.

In addition, TI is also offering two new 3-phase brushless pre-drivers and controllers, the DRV8307, which features a single pin PWM interface, and the DRV8308, which integrates closed loop digital speed control. These parts are featured in two new reference designs, reducing development time and bill of materials.
