CGI Studio is used for in-vehicle infotainment and cluster-based dashboard systems throughout the automotive industry. In its latest iteration, the CGI Studio tool chain now supports OpenGL ES 3.0, thereby enabling cutting-edge in-vehicle human machine interface (HMI) applications.

OOpenGL ES 3.0 is now the de facto standard for the development of highly sophisticated embedded HMI applications. Leveraging the computing power of embedded chipsets from both today and tomorrow, CGI Studio enables high-performance 2D/3D applications such as navigation, vehicle status visualisation or task menu structuring, while focusing on essential automotive application features such as boot-up time and a small footprint. Furthermore CGI Studio also complies with automotive standards and regulations.

New graphical features such as KTX image formats, ETC2 and EAC texture compression, seamless cube maps and many others enhance CGI Studio's already impressive list of features, allowing customers to maximise their creativity with even fewer resources.

Additional convenience features such as a shareable component library (SCL), EGL context sharing and improved scene templates round up the package for the end user, making CGI Studio 3.0 one of the most extensive and user-friendly authoring suites on the automotive market.
