In addition to IEC and EN 60601-1 certification, MIT-W101 is equipped with an IP65-rated enclosure that offers protection from dust and water and tolerates repeat sterilization. The device enclosure is also built from bacteria-resistant material for superior infection control. These features ensure convenient cleaning for enhanced hygiene and patient safety.

Powered by an Intel Celeron processor, MIT-W101 features advanced technology that delivers high-performance computing and power efficiencyfor diverse applications. MIT-W101 is compliant to MIL-STD 810G standards and, as part of the ruggedized design, features a drop tolerance of up to 120 cm or 180 cm with an extended bumper.

To ensure seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure, MIT-W101 is equipped with Microsoft’s Windows operating system, USB 3.0, USB 2.0,and Micro HDMI slots, as well as two additional ports for connecting a docking station and expansion module.

The optional docking station provides two additional earphone/microphone jacks, USB. 2.0, LAN, COM, and VGA ports. Integration with a VESA mount also offers additional I/O, including LAN, COM, VGA, and USB 2.0 ports. This flexibility and expandability make MIT-W101 the ideal system for both mobile and wall-mount installation scenarios.

Because identity verification is an important security mechanism in hospital environments, MIT-W101 supports the integration of optional1D/2D barcode scanners for patient identity verification and medication tracking. Embedded communication modules for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC are also crucial for conducting daily healthcare operations.

Besides the previously mentioned accessories, MIT-W101 can be equipped with diverse peripherals, such as an MSR and smart card reader expansion module, extended battery pack with 11.1V/4540 mAh capacity, multifunction cover, X-type hand strap, shoulder strap, and stylus pen, for increased functionality that satisfies diverse application requirements.
