As an extension to the HT66FB5x0 series, this device also provides an ISP online firmware update function via its USB interface as well as supporting ICP, ISP and IAP programming modes.

In addition, the new MCU has a larger ROM size of 32Kx16 when compared to the HT66FB560 whose ROM capacity is 16Kx16. It also utilises the HOLTEK extended instruction set and also includes an EEPROM memory of 256 bytes and an additional UART interface.

During product development either C language or assembly language can be used to store non-volatile data without the need for an external EEPROM. With its UART interface and other features, this device provides a simplified means for the development of USB interface related applications.
