One main difference between the HT67F4892 and its predecessor HT67F489 device is that the HT67F4892 includes a higher accuracy internal high frequency RC oscillator, providing an accuracy of up to ±3% over its full temperature and voltage operating range. This new device has an SRAM Data Memory capacity of 384 bytes, up to 50 bidirectional I/O ports which includes an additional 8 pins and up to 256 pixel (32x8) LCD driver.

In addition to the UART function, the device also includes SPI and I²C interfaces which allow for easy communication with external components such as WiFi and Bluetooth modules, thus making it suitable for use in smart household appliances. With regards to packaging the HT67F4892 is supplied in both 48-pin and 52-pin LQFP package types.
