In addition to an expanded Flash Memory capacity of 48K words, the device also includes an integrated low power consumption RTC oscillator. This RTC oscillator can have a standby current as low as 1µA at a voltage of 3V with the Time Base activated. By adjusting the RTC oscillator precision using external passive components, the device can be applied for use in various power saving timer products.

The device’s integrated LCD driver can drive dot matrix LCD display applications of up to 1024 pixels (64SEGs x 16COMs) size. The device also includes a UART, two SPI and I2C interfaces allowing for easy communication with external Bluetooth modules. With an In-Application Programming function, users are provided with a means of convenient and easy upgrades and modifications to their application programs.

As the device can be supplied as a Dice type, this can greatly reduce PCB areas with resulting reduced product costs. For emulation, Holtek provides an OCDS EV device, the HT67V86A, to assist with rapid and efficient product development. As for non dice type packages, the HT67F86A is supplied in a 128-pin LQFP package type.
