While pursuing product performance, it also pays attention to the environmental influence during the course of products’ life spans, from the process of product design, material selection, manufacturing, packaging, transportation, use, and recycling.
Performance environmental with IDRC power source supplier
IDRC’s products include DC power supplies, AC power sources, and power analyzers, and its main service targets are research and development laboratories for environmentally friendly energy, such as wind power and solar power, all types of electric vehicles, household electronics, and research, development, and manufacturing for information products. IDRC hopes to enable environmentally friendly energy to spread rapidly by using these products and to allow clients to be able to develop more low-energy consumption products.
IDRC’s Director of the International Sales Department, Lu Guo-ming pointed out that in this era of battery shortages, power supplies have become very important. IDRC’s power supply units are constantly keeping up with this era’s pace and continually introduce the newest technology into products. The first generation silicon carbide (SiC) power components provide higher power efficiency, which enabled IDRC’s first generation of power supply units to reach a conversion efficiency of 95%.
Lu Guo-ming explained that higher power efficiency provides higher power density, and this allows product volume to decrease. In addition to being light and dexterous, it also consumes less power. Besides allowing for lower costs in the purchasing of equipment, it also brings down other costs, such as power consumption and equipment cooling. It brings a number of benefits and genuinely contributes to environmental protection.
Lu Guo-ming stated that one successful instrument is easy and convenient for engineers to use. Consequently, the new generation of power supply units has a more convenient control interface (touch screens arranged with physical knobs), greater flexibility, and advanced power components. These three advantages are IDRC’s most important niches in the power supply unit market.

Acute Technology’s Capabilities: Small But Powerful
Established in 1996, Acute Technology has been specializing in the development of PC-Based measuring instruments for twenty years. Currently its main products are digital storage oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, data generators, and differential probes.
Currently Acute Technology’s TravelScope oscilloscope series have the highest hardware specifications for PC-based oscilloscopes, including a 1GS/s sampling rate, 200MHz bandwidth, 128M sampling points, 16 bit vertical resolution, and a 2-channel function signal generator.
TravelScope is not only an oscilloscope, but also a serial protocol analyzer, a data logger, a spectrum analyzer, a function generator, and even can be transformed into a mixed-signal oscilloscope. It could be said to be the top high-capability and cost-effective instrument manufactured in Taiwan.
As for the TravelLogic logic analyzer series, they feature a 4GHz sampling rate, multiple serial bus triggering functions, online proprietary firmware downloads, and rotating states storage. Furthermore, they can be stacked with any brand-name oscillator for MSO function. They are equipped with easy to use software interface to quickly blow up or shrink waveforms using a mouse or roller control as well as many free bus analysis functions.
In addition, the matching oscilloscope uses the ADP1000 series of high voltage differential probes, which are Acute Technology’s newest products with up to 25MHz of bandwidth, +/-700V work scope, and 2500V non-destructive voltage. Acute Technology insists on conducting research and development in Taiwan and demonstrating high-quality measuring instruments, which are manufactured in Taiwan.
Furthermore, recently Acute Technology has announced free bus analysis software MIPI SPMI and eSPI for logic analyzers. SPMI protocol is a member of the MIPI family and it is an application for power management of cell phones and tablets computers. This bus can simultaneously be linked to multiple MCU devices and achieve reduced pin and convenient connections. In addition, the bus arbitration function has the advantages of reducing transfer commands collisions and speeding up reaction rates.
According to Acute Technology, with the transfer protocols used in the new generation of Intel motherboards, eSPI is directed toward the integration of existing interfaces, such as SM Bus/LPC/SPI flash. It is a type of protocol to increase transmission efficiency and to streamline the amount of bus lines. Acute Technology is also taking the lead in introducing this type of eSPI bus analysis function in its instruments.

Subvert the Imagination, Gwinstek Has Built a Completely Touch Controlled Oscilloscope
Different from other past products, Gwinstek has launched the newly designed GDS-300/200 completely touch controlled oscilloscope and subverted users ideas about oscilloscopes.
The GDS-300/200 series of compact oscilloscopes collocates a 7-inch completely touch capacity liquid crystal display screen to subvert the traditional method of using dials. Wave measurement positions can easily be moved, the size of waveforms can be adjusted, and trigger conditions can be set, allowing engineers in complex working environments to easily obtain test signals at will.
Engineers can use it for both vertical and horizontal measurements. Furthermore, they can view waveforms with not only full-screen conditions, but also integrate multiple functions for measuring the environment to obtain unimaginable measurement results.
Gwinstek states that this series of oscilloscopes contains the industry’s longest 5M sampling memory. When engineers are making long-term observations or capturing detailed transient signals, long memory can record more minute waveform data points and assist users to accurately restore the original waveforms. When engineers take time scale tables from long-times and adjust them to short-times, the subtle changes of analog waveforms will be clearly displayed for the user so that there will be no hidden measurement issues.
It is worth noting that Gwintek’s type of complete touch control oscilloscope won first prize for technological innovation at the 40th Annual TAITRONICS festival. This truly gave Gwintek an important confirmation of its devotion to creating innovative instruments.

Satisfying Wearable Design, Chroma Specializes in the Mobile Device Market
Founded in 1984, Chroma ATE Inc, has conducted global sales using its own name brand. Currently, Chorma manufactures and supplies information systems and omni-directional Turnkey testing and automation solutions for precision electronic measuring instruments and automated test systems.
Because of the popularity of smartphones and technological maturity in recent years, Chroma has expanded into wearable devices. These two types of devices have a common ambition to become thinner and have a higher potency and range. Therefore, they require highly effective power management.
Chroma has directed itself towards the changes and requirements of the power inductor industry and has this year launched a high frequency inductance test packing machine – model number 1870D, which provides high-speed production efficiency. The 1870D can produce up to 1200pcs per minute and has a mixed high-frequency LCR frequency table that can reach up to 10 MHz, a Milli-OM table range as low as 0.001mΩ, polarity test and screening mechanism, and it meets all production testing requirements.
Due to their low-sensory inductance (power inductors), they have large amounts of applications for 3C devices, such as smartphones and tablet computers. In addition, the design trends for external dimensions are thinner and shorter. Chroma is devoted to these kinds of requirements and has launched a coil winding components pulse tester to provide power inductor components to carry out winding quality and voltage capacity tests for magnetic cores.
