South Korean media ETNews quoted news of GforGames site that Apple is going to revise panel suppliers of iPad mini. Since the second half of this year, AUO will be moved from the list of iPad mini panel supply chain, Sharp orders will also be significantly reduced, while the vacancy will be filled by Samsung.
AUO offered the non-retina panel for the first generation of iPad mini, so the suppliers adjustments may represent that first generation iPad mini likely be discontinued, and Apple's future products will fully adopt the retina panel.
There are only two panel makers currently on the market ability to mass production retina display, LG and Samsung, so the next iPad mini panel may supply simultaneously by this two.
