Chromebook to Use MediaTek's 4G Chipset

TAIPEI, Taiwan — MediaTek debuted its 4G octa-core chipset MT6595 in Shenzhen today, source said that MediaTek is not only cooperated with Google's Nexus smartphone, but also Google's Chromebook. According to technology website liliputing leakage, MediaTek has already handed in their ARM Cortex-A7 chipset to Chromium OS, in other words, Chrombook is probably will use MediaTek's chipset. If this is true, the price of Chromebook will be lower than NT$6,000 dollars.
