Acer’s launch event was under the heading of “A Touch More Connected” which has become a lasting theme for the company through its turnaround.

Connectivity and the accessibility of the latest technologies to everyone are at the heart of what Acer is practicing.

“A Touch More Connected” is also the latest expression of Acer’s “A Touch More” marketing campaign, with version 2.0 being launched at IFA to rekindle the excitement among end-users and partners.

Acer’s new products target a multitude of needs. The new Aspire V Nitro series notebooks, including the Black Edition models, are powerful and elegant for ambitious people who enjoy pure entertainment to go with their creativity. The Aspire R and the Aspire Switch series with multi-modes enhance peoples’ lives for work and play.

Acer also has a new line-up of tablets including three outstanding additions: The Iconia Tab 8 W, an 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablet for productivity on the go; the Iconia Tab 10, a 10-inch tablet for people who prefer a larger screen for personal entertainment; and the Iconia One 8, a new 8-inch tablet for people who want a light and portable tablet which is ideal for dynamic multimedia enjoyment, anywhere.

To round up Acer’s IFA launch, the new Liquid Z500 smartphone is added to Acer’s smartphone portfolio for people looking for affordable devices with the latest technologies.

Since the beginning of the year, Acer has successfully managed a turnaround moving from a hardware vendor to an ITC (Information, Technology, Communication) company offering hardware, services and solutions from one source. And the results speak for themselves: during the last two quarters, Acer experienced a strong gain in market share and successfully stabilized as a company.

“We have focused on the immediate decisions that were needed to transform the company,” said Jason Chen, Acer Corporate President and CEO.

“Today we offer an extensive portfolio of devices with quality services and affordable prices, ranging from 1 to 100 inches.”

One reason for this positive development is Acer’s connection to customers and users and its ability to streamline priorities to set-up the right foundation and accomplish the best results, particularly the choice and design of products. The company’s main goal is to provide the best choice of products, quality and value for everyone at any price point. Putting users’ needs at the center is deeply rooted in Acer’s DNA and heritage.

Chen added, “By rediscovering our DNA, Acer is providing people with devices which contribute to a better, connected world, especially as we continue to market aggressively our tablets, 2-in-1s and expand our smartphone business.”
