MediaTek to Announce the new Fingerprint Tech IFS soon

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Huiding Technology is a subsidiary of MediaTek in China, it will soon release a next generation fingerprinting chips that boasts for five distinctive features. The IFS (Invisible Fingerprint Sensor Technology) can make fingerprinting chips invisible behind the panel that allows handsets to keep its own style.

According to Huiding Technology, the coming IFS is quite different from the traditional module of fingerprint sensor because handset makers can put the fingerprinting chips under the touch panel, instead of putting it on the front panel.
