Inventec Teams up with Xiaomi in Views of IoT

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Inventec is forming “One Inventec” in views of penetrating the market of Internet of Things (IoT), including voice control, various sensors, short-, medium-, and long-term wireless technologies, 3D printing, and the second-generation wristband is under research and design process. What's more, the Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is going to pay a visit to Inventec next week, eyeing on mobile growth.

Inventec Appliances was acquired by Inventec in 2012, Li Shi-qin , Chairperson of Inventec shouted “One Inventec” as slogan, hoping to unify the two companies, and cooperate with each other. It is believed that Inventec Appliances will cover customers from IoT, while Inventec is responsible for customers of mainframe computer.
He Dai-shui, Chairperson of Inventec Appliances, said that the problem of IT industry is that not knowing which part of IoT is beneficial so that the company covers wide array of Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Zigbee, NFC, WLAN of all bands, and LTE.
He Dai-shui suggested that the IoT standard involved with benefits to all groups from all around the world, “Everyone has a chance, but no confidence.” Furthermore, the IoT sensor standard is ranging temperature, humidity, pressure, and MEMS Gyroscope.
The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is going to pay a visit to Inventec next week, eyeing on mobile growth. In other words, they will cooperate with each other in manufacturing more products like the Mi Box.
