TAIPEI, Taiwan- Taiwanese accessory brand Innerexile at CES 2015 launched the world’s first glacier “Mist” self-healing protective case for cellphones. Its self-healing ability has beat the LG G Flex 2, and is simultaneously light-weight, durable, and the most eye-catching protective case for iPhones.

Early self-healing technology primarily used In-Mould Decoration (IMD) manufacturing processes, which were adhesive film methods that featured thin adhesive films with repairing capacity on the surface of the object. However, this method’s drawbacks were high unit costs, low yield enhancements, and only being able to repair under 200g of damage. At the end of 2013, the LG G Flex employed an IMD manufacturing process.

However, Innerexile switched to a “Spray Process” and quickly broke through the limitations of the “Adhesive Film Process.”

Innerexile stated that the inspiration for the spray process came from the surface finishing methods for television panels. However, this kind of spraying material is relatively sticky, and it is not only easy to have uneven lumps but may even stick to people’s hands and have poor transparency.

Nevertheless, through two years of painstaking research and development and making breakthroughs in segments, from raw materials, to painting, to molding, and then to injection, their research and development finally succeeded in 2014.

During testing, Innerexile’s “Hydra Self-Healing Transparent Protective Case” can withstand a 1000g copper brush test at a room temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. More surprisingly, it can completely repair itself within 30 seconds, which is superior to the LG G Flex self-healing function and has broken through the threshold of the former IMD manufacturing process.

Innerexile emphasizes that the “Hydra Self-Healing Transparent Protective Case” uses patented painting technology, and the whole painting process is carried out in a high specification clean room environment. Consequently, the transparent shell is clear and has a mirror surface luster. More importantly, its outstanding self-healing coating only needs 30 seconds to quickly repair indentations and return to its glossy appearance, effectively reducing the degree of damage for transparent protective cases.

In addition, this product also features Innerexile’s same consistent high-quality industrial design. The buttons and lenses both feature additional protection, and the assembly is of fine quality. There are no protruding mold lines, and it is easy to grip. In addition it has an extremely light weight that is less than 13 grams, so it is not a burden to use and can provide iPhone users with the ultimate cellphone protection.
