Holtek Semiconductor to Penetrate the UAV Market in China

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Holtek Semiconductor, a professional IC design house having its major business activities focused in the area of microcontroller and peripheral component design and marketing. The company suggested that its 8-bit MCU has been applied to the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) quadcopters in China, which also can be seen in fan motor products.

Gao Guo-dong, General Manager of Holtek, said that the company has a prosperious prospect in home appliances, medical care, and banking security and safety, which are three major growth drivers of the company in 2015.

According to the company, 32-bit MCU not only can be used in the fingerprint identification, but also in the air purifier, gaming keyboard, and touch panel, etc. Besides, the company will roll out blood pressure metersphygmometer, blood sugar metersphygmometer, and blood lipid metersphygmometer after the second quarter of this year.

Moreover, the company noted that Internet of Things (IoT) has a strong relationship with WiFi and smart home appliances so that there will be more 8-bit and 32-bit MCU used in these end products.

Last but not the least, the company will delivery more 32-bit MCU in 2015.
