ASUS’s next step is to provide robots for senior citizens

TAIPEI, Taiwan — ASUS held investor conference on June 12, its Chairman Johnny Shih stated that the company has already penetrated into cloud software, wearables, network device and robot. However, ASUS is looking to robot’s booming market for senior citizens.

“For instance, Toshiba launched a beauty robot that proved the design is very important. If the robot looked dull, it wouldn’t draw attentions. In the future, people at all ages will need specific robots, and we are thinking how to best meet the demands from children.” said Johnny Shih.

Johnny Shih stated that the digital evolution is too fast, the company is transforming in a bid to seize the chance in this ever-changing market. As a result, the concept of design is the key, along with the main idea that everyone can enjoy the luxurious devices.

Meanwhile, Johnny Shih said that ASUS has been making innovations in computer, mobile device, component and cloud.
