According to recently-released official Microsoft news, Windows 10 will next month hit the market simultaneously in 190 countries, including Taiwan. Devices which meet the specifications for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 are eligible for free upgrades, and hundreds of millions of users around the world are expected to accept the offer.

Inventec pointed out that beginning in July it will begin to send out shipments of notebook computers installed with the Windows 10 operating system, and shipments of notebook computers will increase by more than 20% in the third quarter. Furthermore, they are optimistic that both consumer and commercial models will recover, and performance of overall shipments in the second half of the year will be far better than in the first half of the year.

Quanta stated that in the second half of the year the wave of Windows 10 replacements will gradually ferment, and shipments of new notebooks are likely to increase monthly with a boom in Northern American and European sales prior to the Christmas holiday.

In addition, Intel and NVIDIA will introduce new chipsets before the end of July, which will upgrade notebook and desktop computer product specifications and increase PC sales volumes.
