NGMN Workshop in Chunghwa Telecom Connecting the Island to 5G era

TAIPEI, Taiwan — Chunghwa Telecom (CHT), Department of Industrial Technology of MOEA and Ministry of Education join forces to host the NGMN workshop for “Industry Vertical Requirements” from December 8 to 9, 2015. International NGMN Partners (Operators, Vendors and Research representatives) discuss with industry vertical representatives (e.g. from Automotive, Transport, Health) about their potential future mobile communication use-cases and the related requirements.

And the NGMN work for its partners and with all major industry stakeholders to shape 5G. CHT is very honored to host the NGMN workshop for “Industry Vertical Requirements” and will also take the role of the host of the next NGMN Forum meeting in Taiwan, March 2016.

“NGMN envisions that 5G will enable countless new use cases and services for vertical industries”, said Peter Meissner, CEO of the NGMN Alliance. “We welcome Chunghwa Telecom’s support in our effort to closely working together with leading vertical industry representatives in the identification of the related key 5G end-to-end requirements.”

The workshop provides the opportunity for those representatives to highlight their individual requirements and to help shaping the future 5G technology development. In addition, the participating NGMN Partners would be more than happy to present a comprehensive overview on their 5G system vision to those industry vertical representatives and explain what this vision means to the industry in terms of service and business opportunities.
