Advantech to Focus on the Development of Industry 4.0 and Smart City in 2016

Chaney Ho, president of Advantech, said that the ultimate goal of implementing IoT is to dramatically improve operational efficiency of enterprise, to innovate business models. However, the number of objects which can be detected by existing sensors are not enough, and the cost and power consumption are too high. Coupled with the high wireless transmission cost and insufficient number of examples, resulting in the concept of IoT unable to be generally used.
He stressed that Advantech will make an all-out effort to develop the Wireless Sensor Network, WISE-PaaS (Wireless IoT Solutions Embedded, WISE), cloud computing and Big Data analytics, and investment in the intelligent system integration services providers.
In 2016, Advantech marked itself to keep focusing on Industry 4.0 and smart city applications and put into practice in the five strategies. Including Sector-Lead Transformation, WISE-PaaS and Wireless Sensor Technology, local development and local SI connection, customer experience centers and industry 4.0 physical Showcase, organic growth and M&A parallel.
