瀏覽次數:1309

TAIPEI, Taiwan — As the trends blossom in the ICT industry, to experience the smart tech, touch applications, wearable tech, mobile computing, and cloud tech and services — and many more new ICT products at first hand; that's what COMPUTEX TAIPEI is all about. For five inspired days from June 3rd to 7th it will shape the future by connecting ICT with its tech, industry, market, and media.

“I don't see any competition between Taiwan and Mainland China, as our COMPUTEX TAIPEI is focused on business to business, while business to customer is more popular at the ICT exhibitions in China.” When asked by a foreign reporter, Walter Yeh, Executive Vice President of TAITRA stated as above, referring to that COMPUTEX TAIPEI is one of a kind here in Asia and has already formed its uniqueness and reputation.

“One out of five products at COMPUTEX TAIPEI this year is something about Internet of Things (IoT), wearables are the fastest growing category along with the handheld devices.” Walter Yeh added, “Two years from now we will be opened another new exhibition hall, which will help Taiwan attract 70 percent more international customers to come.”

The show takes place in four dazzling expo halls that are packed with 1,710 exhibitors using 5,069 booths. The world's second largest IC design company for mobile devices, Mediatek, is exhibiting for the first time. Joining that line up are top makers like Acer, ASUS, Delta and Transcend along with AMD, FORD, Intel, Microsoft, Panasonic and Supermicro. And with them opens a world of wonders in such foreign concessions like the USA Pavilion, Korean Pavilion, Hong Kong Pavilion and Israeli Pavilion.

This year's visitors will be treated to new theme areas such as “Touch Applications & Display Products Area” and “Smart Tech & Applications Area”. This expo makes IT happen by joining more than 130,000 visitors from 170 countries. Many of them are big names like SIEMENS AG, Hisense, Toshiba, MA Laboratories, and Best Buy –a leading US consumer electronics retailer.

More than 40 new product announcements and press conferences will be held before and during the show. Acer will focus on its “Build your own cloud” (BYOC) service while ASUS will announce incredible tablets as well as mobile phones. Intel's new President, Renee James, will be giving keynote speech as well as announcing new product.

Every heart and mind in ICT will be at the Summit Forum to map the future. All eyes will be on Simon Segars, CEO of ARM, M.K. Tsai, CEO of MediaTek and Stan Shih, Founder & President of Acer, Shane Owenby, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Amazon Web Services who share rare insiders on the convergence of social interacting tech, mobility, cloud, and the shape of things to come. And Industry Forums open rare moments to connect with top executives from Amazon Web Service, Cisco, Broadcom, IDC, NXP, STMicroelectronics, and Salesforce as they spotlight hot topics like big data, internet of things and much more.

COMPUTEX TAIPEI design & innovation awards are definitely another highlights. In their 7th year, the awards have become a key event for COMPUTEX TAIPEI. This year, a total of 74 winning products are being awarded from 288 product entries. Award winners include Qualcomm, Sandisk, Philips, ASUS, Acer, HTC and many more world brand names. These awarded products will soon begin an all-year grand global tour to display at leading ICT exhibitions.

During show days the COMPUTEX TAIPEI d&i awarded products are showcased at Nangang Exhibition Hall, Booth #I0407.
