TAICHUNG, Taiwan - Phoenix Silicon International, a Taiwanese wafer OEM company, yesterday held an active ceremony for its new factory which is the world’s first automated and smart wafer reclaim factory. The new factory located at Taichung Port Technology Industrial Park of NT$ 7.28 billion of investment. Phoenix Silicon said that they will expand another plant in 2023.
Meanwhile, Phoenix Silicon also cooperated with suppliers to develop 300mm semiconductor testing wafer thinning, and continue expanding the high-frequency switch and fast charging market. Phoenix Silicon hopes to lift its contribution margin through the complementary production line, and elongates to oversea customers.
At the Taichung Port, Phoenix Silicon mainly works in the wafer reclaiming business including wafer stripping, polishing, and cleaning, which can reclaim wafers efficiently to create a higher price of wafer testing, and raises the efficiency of wafer manufacturers and bring better service.
The mass production active ceremony was presided over by Yang Min-cong, chairman of the Phoenix Silicon. Liu Ji-chuan, deputy director of the Processing Division of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Liang You-wen, director of the Taichung Port branch, and representatives of major semiconductor companies attended the scene to congratulate.
