TAIPEI, Taiwan－The TSIA survey showed that Q2 2014 Taiwan IC revenue as a whole (including design, manufacturing, packaging and testing) totaled NT$551.2 billion(US$18.5B),16.4% growth on-quarter, and up 14.8% on-year.
In the individual areas,NT$145.6B in design(US$4.9B), 16.2% increase on-quarter and up 19.7% on-year; NT$288B in manufacturing(US$9.7B), 17.2% growth on-quarter and up 13.5% on-year; Foundry NT$221.5B (US$7.4B), 22.6% rise on-quarter and up 12.3% on-year.
As for the memory, NT$66.5B (US$2.2B), 2.2% growth on-quarter and up 17.7% on-year; NT$81.5B in packaging (US$2.7B), 14.8% growth on-quarter and up 12.6% on-year, and NT$36.1B in testing(US$1.2B), 14.6% increase on-quarter and up 12.1% on-year.
TSIA forecast that Taiwan IC revenue in 2014 is expected to reach NT$2,216.7B (US$74.4B), 17.4% growth from 2013, with NT$557.5B in design (US$19.6B), 21.1% increase; NT$1,122.3B in manufacturing (US$39.1B), 17.1% growth.
Foundry will reach NT$864.3B (US$30.2B), up 18.6%; Memory NT$258B (US$8.9B), up 12%; NT$315B in packaging (US$10.9B), 13.9% increase, and NT$139.5B in testing (USD$4.8B), up 13.3%.
