TAIPEI, Taiwan — Apple iPhone 6 has dominated the high-end smartphone market in Taiwan in the past 10 months, there’s no denying that the iPhone 6S is the most anticipated handset to date. According to the local telecommunications providers and channels, after Apple launched the new handset on September 9 there’s a high chance that iPhone 6S will be debuted in Taiwan on September 18.
Source said that the sales of iPhone 6 series has more than doubled over iPhone 5S that proves big-screen handset is an unmistakable trend.
The leading telecommunications provider Chunghwa Telecom withheld comments on it. However, Lin Kuo-feng, President at Mobile Business Group of Chunghwa Telecom stated that they haven’t been informed about the sales plan of iPhone 6S.
“In this year, Apple has dominated the high-end smartphone market in terms of sales and revenue.” added Lin Kuo-feng.
Source pointed out that Taiwan was the secondary market of iPhone 6, “It’s rarely seen that an upgrade market would be downgraded.” In other words, jugding from the hot sales of iPhone 6 series Taiwan has a good chance to be the initial market of iPhone 6S.
