瀏覽次數:7687

TAIPEI, Taiwan — The struggling HTC staged a press conference in Taipei on October 21 in a bid to promote it’s latest flagship HTC One A9. The company said that the A9 would be a good alternative to the iPhone, citing that it “strikes a balance between beauty, performance and simplicity.” The handset is the first non-Nexus phone that runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The A9 is proudly embedded with a fingerprint scanner, user can use it to unlock the device and can also be used as a home key.

The new device offers a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED screen and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor with X8 LTE, an octa-core chip with four 1.5GHz cores and four 1.2GHz cores.

Alongside this is 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a micro-SD card slot. The camera is a 13MP with a dual-tone LED flash and the front camera is the same UltraPixel camera found on the One M9.

Furthermore, the main camera is a Sony sensor and features optical image stabilization (OIS), an aperture of f/2.0 and the ability to shoot in raw format.

However, The A9 hasn't gone for USB Type-C because it's not mass market enough yet, according to the company. What’s more, the A9 offers a 2150mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 2.0, NFC and 4G LTE support. It also supports High Res 24-bit audio with a digital to analogue converter (DAC).

Moreover, The Doze is the new function of the A9 to make it low-power consume.

Last but not least, the official release date for the 7.26mm thick and 143g A9 falls on November 1 here in Taiwan, which comes in four colors: carbon grey, opal silver, deep garnet, topaz gold in 16GB and 32GB versions, respectively.
