Utilizing Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) technology as a display application has the advantages of consuming less power and having a thinner panel volumes. It is also extremely suitable for use in mobile devices, especially smart phones. In recent years the OLED panel market has been primarily occupied by South Korean and Japanese companies, including Samsung, LG, Sony, Panasonic, and Seiko Epson. However, as a major supplier of display panel boards, Taiwan is attempting to find a place in the OLED market.
