Leveraging the processing power of both the FT903 and FT810, the shield allows for feature rich graphics and audio solutions with a touch screen interface to be realised whilst freeing up the Arduino base board for other tasks such as sensor monitor and control.

In addition to the hardware FTDI Chip is offering an extensive range of free support projects and tutorials to help users create their first of many display based projects.

FTDI Chip noted that the mission of the CleO project ( should you accept it ) is to create a family of smart TFT display controllers that can be easily programmed by almost anyone to give professional looking HMI / GUI's with no prior knowledge of complex graphics programming or mathematics.

With extensive tutorials ( 20 Chapters covering over 80 topics ) + 20 DIY projects included to show you how, CleO35 ( the 3.5in display version ) allows both hobbyists and professionals alike to add a HVGA ( 320x480 pixel ) resistive touch TFT display GUI to their Arduino UNO projects.
