Frey M1, A High Performance Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 Based Core Module From BitaTek

With rich experiences accumulated over 15 years in the AIDC (Automatic Identification & Data Capture )and Mobile Devices industry, BitaTek has entered into an agreement with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, and formally engaged in the development of next generation device platform core incorporating the leading technologies of wireless communication, power management, and multi-core processing capabilities from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor. The first core module product of Frey series, M1, will be formally announced in late Q1, 2016.

Aiming at the demands of vast variety in various industries, Frey M1 is targeted serving manufacturers and solution integrators with peripherals like display, keypad, barcode reading, NFC tag data capture, camera, voice, or magnetic stripe readers implemented together with high performance wireless communication features like WPAN, WWAN ( 3G, 4G LTE ), and WLAN into one comprehensive platform.

Powerful sensors integrated in Frey M1 covers functional demands from ambient light detection, acceleration sensing, and e-compass. User-friendly features like Fast Roaming and Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 are supported as well.

All these are featured to support demands coming from: POS System, Kiosk, Payment Terminal, AGV, CNC Controller, Drone, VR Controller, Home Automation master Controller, ---etc. Frey M1 will be ready to serve and substantially short the TTM (Time-To-Market) of these industries and provide plug-in support to help accomplishing more new products with less effort.

One major advantage and flexibility Frey M1 can provide is dual-OS supported. Frey M1 will come supporting Android 6.0 first. Then, the second version M1 will support Windows 10. This flexibility can further empower the above said industries serving wider market demands with one single platform.

A full size Frey M1 Evaluation Board will be available in late Q1 2016 for interested customers to integrate function/feature needed and to simulate the applications with related wireless, communication, sensor, display, audio, and key-entry operations.
