Coming with one 260-pin DDR4-2133 SO-DIMM socket supporting system memory up to 16GB, the palm-sized PICO512 also features a full-size PCI Express Mini Card slot in support of mSATA and a pair of expansion connectors for an additional I/O board/signals including one PCIe x1 lane, one LPC, one DDI, four USB 3.0 ports, one SMBus and one HD audio to meet various communication requirements.

The tiny 2.5" Pico-ITX embedded board is utilizing Intel HD graphics engine to bring a true 4K high definition visual experience with dual display outputs through HDMI and 18/24-bit single/dual channel LVDS. In addition, the highly reliable industrial motherboard can withstand a wide operating temperature range from -20°C to +70°C (-4°F to +158°F) in various harsh environments.

“The 100 mm x 72 mm Intel Core-based embedded board, PICO512, has combined a leading edge processor and rich expansion interfaces in an extremely compact size. It provides the best balance between performance and expandability,” said Ken Lin, a product manager of Product PM Division at Axiomtek. “Axiomtek has been aiming to provide system integrators a highly flexible and reliable embedded board of high computing capabilities, rugged features and a compact form factor for various applications in the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) field.”

The brand new 2.5-inch embedded motherboard, PICO512, is equipped with advanced connectivity including one USB 2.0 port, one Gigabit Ethernet (built-in Intel Ethernet controller i219LM), and one SATA-600 interface. To ensure reliable operation, the Pico-ITX motherboard also supports a watchdog timer to detect and recover from computer malfunctions through hardware monitoring of temperature, voltage, fan speed, and more. Furthermore, it also supports Intel Active Management Technology 11 (AMT 11) for better remote management while requiring only +12V DC power supply input.
