The MLCCs released today are manufactured in precious metal technology (PMT/NME) with a wet build process and robust design. Qualified according to AEC-Q200 with PPAP available on request, VJ....31X RoHS Automotive devices are optimized for automotive powertrain, chassis, lighting, and comfort electronics, in addition to industrial sensors. The MLCCs will be used in engine, steering, and headlight control units, battery and power management, and power supplies.
VJ....31X RoHS Automotive devices with a C0G (NP0) dielectric offer high voltages to 3000 VDC, low capacitance down to 1 pF, a temperature coefficient of capacitance (TCC) of 0 ppm/°C ± 30 ppm/°C from -55 °C to +125 °C, and an aging rate of 0 % maximum per decade. Ideal for decoupling and filtering, X7R and X8R devices provide higher capacitance to 1.0 µF, voltages to 1000 VDC, TCC of ± 15 % from -55 °C to +125 °C (X7R) and +150 °C (X8R), and an aging rate of 1 % maximum per decade.
The MLCCs feature 100 % matte tin plate terminations and are available with polymer flexible terminations for additional protection against board flexure damage. The devices are halogen-free and compliant to ROHS and the automotive ELV (End of Life) directive beyond 2016.
