All I/O functions come from internal connectors (no rear I/O coastline). MIO-3260 can be used in two ways: either design a simple carrier board with selected I/O to replace all the cabling, or use it standalone with flexible cabling via the correct connectortype. MIO-3260 is ideal for super slim, cableless or ruggedness designs including panel PC and outdoor applications, industrial control, medical portable devices, POS, home automation and more.

Super-Slim Exterior Design and Fanless Ruggedness Solution

MIO-3260 is a light and ultra-slim 2.5” (100 x 72mm) MI/O-Ultra product. Same size as a 2.5” HDD, its total height with heatsink is only 25.8mm, so it easily meets compact size-requirements for slim chassis applications. MIO-3260 shortens complicated set-up procedures and offers enhanced stability and durability. It’s a fanless thermal solution with benefits including longer MTBF, dust-free, noiseless, zero fan maintenance, and 24/7 operation. MIO-3260 also meets extreme thermal tests (-40~85 °C wide temperature) requirements, and offers low maintenance and long life cycle support till 2020.

MIO-3260 delivers excellent CPU performance with up to Quad core processing. Its Intel Celeron N2930 processer version almost doubles the performance upgrade compared to previous generation Intel Atom N2800 processers. The graphics on MIO-3260 is based on Gen 7 Intel Graphics Architecture with support for DirectX 11, Open GL 4.0, and OpenGL 1.2; and it has full HD video playback, video transcoding and encoding functionality. MIO-3260 retains a 5Vsb/12Vsb power supply for power-exchange processing which offers a higher throughput yet consumes lesspower, and can integrate existing data without sacrificing software compatibility.

MIO-3260 represents a flexible, modularized design solution through its internal connectors. By connecting with two 64-pin expansion connectors, system integrators can use a carrier board to support the necessary I/O interfaces. With no cabling, MIO-3260 delivers plentiful I/O interface options, including 1 x full-size Mini-PCIe (supports mSATA, Mini PCIe card or USB interface module), 2 x COM, 4 x USB 2.0, 1 x USB 3.0, LPC, SMBus, I2C, 18/24-bit LVDS, VGA, Display Port or HDMI, 5Vsb/12Vsb power, Power/Reset button, Power/HDD LED, HD audio Line-in/out / Mic-in, and 8-bit GPIO, interfaces.

The product is highly suited for IoT applications, and expedites clients’ carrier board development.Its board-to-board solution not only makes the whole system fully cableless and ultra slim but also preserves the customers’ core domain know-how if they want to support some other functionsvia MIOe connectors.

MIO-3260 includes Advantech’s exclusive SUSIAccess remote management software, which provides real-time synchronized hardware and software monitoring and maintenance for complete protection. It offers up to 70% time saving on trouble shooting with real-time remote monitoring and proactive alarm notifications that ensure continued system health and allow remote diagnosis and recovery in any situation. SUSIAccess also provides other powerful utilities such as System Recovery (powered by Acronis), System Protection (powered by McAfee) and Remote KVM, for protection against, and recovery of, possible system faults.
