These two new Holtek LCD Controller/Driver devices, the HT1628 and HT1629G, both support static scanning along with a 1/2 duty driver output. By including a serial interface and an integrated display memory, the devices are easy to use with the added advantages of having very low power consumption and only requiring extremely few external components.
With regard to device differences, the HT1628 can display up to 2×116 pixels and is supplied in a 128-pin LQFP package type or a Dice version, while the HT1629G can display up to 2×240 pixels and is supplied in a Gold Bump Dice version.
