In addition to its pair of fiber/copper SFP GbE ports are four conventional GbE ports and two Mini-card slots to accommodate WiFi and 4G LTE expansion. The system’s inbuilt bypass function also ensures that network traffic will continue to flow in the event of software complications or loss of power. Further expansion capabilities are provided by an mSATA socket and a SATA III Port with a 2.5” HDD Bay, giving customers a choice of mass storage possibilities.

Fitted with an Intel Atom Processor C3000 Series CPU, formerly Denverton, AAEON’s FWS-2360 is a powerful and energy-efficient network appliance. With Intel QAT, it can encrypt and compress data with greater speed and security while simultaneously performing other processing tasks.

The unit boasts a fanless design and an innovative, single-screw chassis, making it reliable and easy to maintain. Optional 1U rack-mount brackets increase adaptability by allowing this desktop device to be installed in server cabinets.

AAEON also produces an entry-level alternative, the FWS-2273. Powered by the Intel Celeron N3350 processor, formerly Apollo Lake, this device isn’t equipped with QAT but still provides a high level of network security and the performance benefits of fiber optic technology. By offering a choice of appliances, AAEON ensures customers are covered, whatever their requirements.
