Squire Technologies announced that Sify Technologies Corporation has chosen its SVI MGC solution to replace a legacy Cisco PGW softswitch and to provide interconnection and routing between NGN IP and PSTN networks.

Sify, which delivers broadband, voice and media services to more than 200 cities and metro areas across India, was faced with the challenge of replacing its legacy PGW 2200 Media Gateway Controller solution that had been declared “end of life” (EoL) by Cisco.
