TAIPEI, Taiwan－ Accroding to WitsView, Tablet shipments grew 19.7% to hit a historical high of 22.5 million in September as vendors prepared to ship Apple’s updated iPad models in the fourth quarter.

Additionally, 21.5 million LCD TV panels were shipped in September, a 1.4% decrease on month. Monitor panel shipments were the same as in August at 13.36 million units. Notebook panel shipments rose 6.7% on a monthly basis to 17.84 million on the back of rising demand for low-priced notebooks and the receding popularity of tablets.
