( Taipei , Taiwan ) Palit Group, an Taiwan based company ,announced its entry into the smartphone market on Monday, and introduced the first low-cost 6.3” smartphone-GALAPAD S6. The phone uses the MediaTek quad-core processors, and producted by Foxconn, pricing only at USD$ 270.

GALAPAD S6 is equipped with 6.3” Super IPS screen, use the MediaTek MT6589 quad-core chips and produce by Foxconn . Palit Group General Manager Sun Zhenyu said its specifications close to HTC ONE max and Samsung Galaxy Maga 6.3, performance approach Nexus 7, but only need one third of the price .
Sun said that although there are demand on the market, but the price of large screen mobile phone are generally high , that’s why Palit want to release low-price products. Palit hope to expand the whole market , but also meet the consumers’ need of low price.
Chun-Nan Kuo , general manager of u-sync, compare to China 's low-cost mobile phone, GALAPAD S6 not only have low cost , but also have more localized service . Therefore , in addition to the high-end hardware , he also have confidence on the integration of software .
Currently ,GALAPAD S6 only sale in Taiwan, China , and some regions of Europe. In parts of Europe, Palit will continue to work with telecom providers and local brands to increase S6 market. Guo said that hoping to promote this brand to the world wide market .
For future goals , Sun said that hoping to rank top ten mobile phone maker in two to three years , and with coming of LTE, Palit will launch LTE -enabled mobile phone in the first or second quarter of next year.
