TAIPEI, Taiwan — 2014, Hong Kong will play host to the 5th CARTES Asia tradeshow, a key event for Asian players involved in smart cards and contactless cards. The event will bring in 95 exhibitors, while close to 3,000 visitors are expected. At this high-profile event, the UBIFRANCE-managed French Pavilion will be hosting thirteen French companies representing the secure transactions, identification and mobility sector.

The French Pavilion will feature innovative solutions in mobile payment as well as in RFID/NFC technology, identification and authentication, and card manufacturing too. Perched on the cutting edge of the latest in technology, France possesses substantial assets in the memory/microprocessor/contactless card market.

To store, modify and retrieve data, to identify a card and its bearer, to authenticate… such are the core functionalities of the solutions on offer. The applications specifically involve the banking sector, health, and government business (i.e. ePassports). There are also other business sectors showing great user potential, like aeronautics, automotive, mass retail, industry, logistics, textile, libraries, laundry services and ticketing.

ELYCTIS develops, manufactures and markets readers dedicated to Secured Identity Documents (e-passport, e-ID, e-DL...). Thanks to its expertise in the relevant standards (ICAO, IAS, 7816, 14443, PC/SC, Biometry) the company provides support and software developments on fix and mobile terminals.
