Terry Guo: I'm Cheated by Sharp

Terry Guo, Chairperson of Foxconn, accusing Sharp of cheating him

TAIPEI, Taiwan — According to an earlier report from Japanese magzine “Toyokeizai”, which gave a review to Chairperson of Foxconn Technology Group, Terry Guo. He who accused of Sharp by saying “Frankly speaking, I was cheated by Sharp.” Referring to once the limelight of the cooperation between Foxconn and Sharp.

“After signing the contrat I finally knew that Sharp is in a large amount of losses.” Terry Guo added. He also stated that when two sides wanted to negotiate the price, Sharp's President was changed so didn't make it. He emphasized that the whole process was recorded, in terms of maintaing personal image he didn't file a lawsuit yet.

Terry Gou completed his purchase of a stake in Sharp Display Products Corp in 2012, paving the way for the two groups to cooperate on the production of panels used in televisions and cellphones.

Foxconn's Hon Hai Precision Industry Co, which manufactures Apple Inc's iPad, was investing his own money in the display business to share the risk after Hon Hai agreed to buy a stake directly in Sharp. The display unit will be renamed Sakai Display Products Corp and operate an advanced 10th-generation liquid crystal display factory in Osaka prefecture.

However, two years have passed that Foxconn hasn't become a shareholder of Sharp, but Sharp has already sided with Samsung, a major rival of Foxconn.
